Tutorial : Auto Watermark Image For Wordpress

Did you  have the same problem like me to make a watermark in the picture before ?

Watermark is usually aimed to avoid others from stealing our images that hosted in our hosting without giving any credit to the picture that we do or take.

Stolen pictures uploaded to the hosting  will increase our bandwidth.

These problems often happen to my blogs before “bandwidth limit” because of hotlinking.

Part 1

1. Download Wordpress Watermark  Plugin (Original website wp-watermark.com)

2. Upload this plugin to your wordpress plugins folder (/wp-content/plugins/watermark)

3. Activate this plugin.

Part 2

1. You need to paste the logo and the logo image should be transparent . You can read my last tutorial how to make transparent image.

2.Save and name your transparent image with stempel.png

3. Upload your image into this watermark plugin and replace the older image (/wp-content/plugins/watermark/stempel.png)

Part 3

1. Copy code below

You need to insert this code

// INSERT HERE!!!
MM_Execute_WM($file,”);

Do not miss out any code!!!

2. Open media.php . This file is located wp-admin/includes/media.php

P/S : not this media.php wp-includes/media.php

Open using your hosting control panel.

Paste here. See photo below

Part 4

Go to watermark admin area and set type of watermark and position of the watermark image.

Make sure make a backup original media.php before you paste the code in part 3. Hope this can help to solve your problem.

Update : Currently this plugin not work on wordpress 3.0 or higher
