How To Make Transparent Image Without Using Adobe Photoshop?

I never use Adobe Photoshop and never install this software to my computer. I don’t know how hard to learn Adobe Photoshop and expert in use it.

I know with Adobe Photoshop we can do a variety of photo editing but the bad thing is Adobe Photoshop is not a free software.

Then I started to search alternative software that I can use to make transparent background images.

So far, the best software that I found in the internet for picture editing is gimp
